This could've been interesting, but it doesn't commit to the 'war is hell' bit, nor does it fully aspire to be a trench-coitus, pro-war, manly tears action flick. Instead landing somewhere in the middle of the two, complete with out of place unsexy sex scenes, a Christ metaphor (???), and the gritty after taste indicative of most Canadian films.
