I’m enjoying the recent trend of animated movies that DON’T have that smooth, Pixar look to them. This one has an art style all its own and it’s pleasant to look at.
The vaguely post-apocalyptic setting and remnants of human civilization are hinting at some larger message here - with the overwhelming floods it’s hard not to think about climate change.
Credit to the storytelling for making me anxious everytime our boy was in the water.
And I’m sorry dog people but aside from the sensible golden lab, those pooches were fuckin’ morons.
