This movie rocks. It’s amazing to see the impact this movie had on the cyberpunk and neo-noir genres.
I love this movie. I love the philosophical implications and questions. I love the subtleties of it.
I’m also impressed by how faithful 2049 is to the style, themes, and visuals of this movie. I slightly prefer 2049, and that’s most likely because I watched that first, but this movie is so good.
As a brother and the oldest, this movie was so special. I’ve never seen a movie before that explored brotherhood so deeply. I’ve felt the same emotions as Kevin and dreamed the same dreams. Expected to cry and I did.
This was fantastic and legitimately scary.
Silence of the Lambs meets the Ring meets the Conjuring.
Not as good as Silence of the Lambs - which is the easy comp - but the performances are compelling and engaging, and it is perpetually ominous and unsettling, to boot.
I love a film that makes me stare at every doorframe in the background, waiting for a shadow, waiting for an a silhouette, waiting for a scare, whether it comes or not.
I haven’t been on edge for an entire movie like this since I watched Hereditary.
