  just... indescribably bad. what a mess of a movie. accents all over the place, terrible songs, embarrassing attempts at depth. 

  it all felt so artificial and pointless. audiard says his goal with this movie was to bring more attention to mexico's forced disappearances, which sounds good, i think he ultimately failed at with that extremely surface level approach.

  so is this just what biopics are now?? soulless oscar bait?

  i wish i had any strong opinion about this movie but it is simply so meh. i finished it unsure of why it needed to exist in the first place (other than as a (possibly failed) timmy oscar vehicle).

  the whole thing leading up to the electric set was so ????? like ok but WHY did it matter so much how are we meant to know if you don't…
