  brilliant performances on a technical level, but I just couldn't see past the cgi slop of it all. I haven't seen the musical before so I didn't have the veneer of nostalgia for re-adapted IP that these movies bank on - sue me. As with most musicals, you have to go into it with a wide suspension of disbelief. And I did, I wanted to be immersed in this fantasy world and be transported like you are when you watch…
