An homage to 80s horror that builds quite a lot of tension only for the ending to be a little too on the nose to feel like a worthy payoff.

Who reads Lolita and decides I'm going to remake this but make Humbert Humbert more empathetic? I give it a single star because the rose petal shots were pretty neat and Annette Bening's acting was really fucking good, but literally everything else in this movie sucked.
