The Marvels 2023
Solid performances from all three leads. Iman Vellani is a superstar. Terrible villain. No disrespect to Zawe Ashton, she does a fine job. Some of the best visuals and sound design of the entire franchise. Unfortunately, several of these moments come out of nowhere and don’t feel totally earned. A few great ideas, but ultimately a script that isn’t sure if it should be developing its’ own film or developing its’ larger cinematic universe. Audiences seem to mostly enjoy it, but a box office disaster nonetheless.
