Live action scooby doo except all the characters are anime schoolgirls and everybody is on acid (including you)

Very easy and fun to watch with great pacing. It’s easy to see the influence this had on a lot of modern horror directors, with its slow creep from realistic personal drama to fantasy nightmare that still felt very grounded. Some really beautiful scenery and imagery with a lot of unsettling music and sound design.

The theme of “men ignoring the women in their life and then suffering horrible consequences” feels ahead of its time and reminded me a lot of When Evil Lurks, a recent favorite of mine.

Wow. There’s probably a million words already written about this, saying more than I can come up with in my little review here. This is what the medium of film was made for. Such a stunning and creative use of imagery, sound, and music to create a wholly unique atmosphere while telling a really gripping story.

I’ve never seen anything capture the feeling of memories so accurate. It felt like experiencing El’s past through his own mind. Surreal, idyllic collages…

I’ll say it: this is a genuinely good slasher flick and easily the best in the Terrifier series. Its not overwritten and ends before it overstays its welcome. It borders on campy, slapstick comedy while reveling in some really gruesome practical gore effects.

Leone managed to make a movie that feels like a horror parody title you’d see in a cartoon. I can imagine Bart Simpson sneaking into Springfield’s Aztec Theater to see Terrifier and then having nightmares about it…
