I am just so grateful for this cinematic puzzle. Never in a million years did I think I’d be watching Mulholland Drive in a theater. An experience I’d never forget! Talking with friends afterwards about theories and seeing other people in the theater, amazed yet confused, made this something special. The best movie ever made!

I think about the intricate details of this movie almost every day. It just amazes me how David Lynch’s brain works sometimes. The best and…

    Coherence

    ★★★★½

If there’s like an all-time mind-bending/thought-provoking film list, Coherence is absolutely on there without a doubt. I can watch this movie every day and enjoy it as if it were my first time while forming a different theory. One of those films where you have to dissect it to your own understanding.

Me and some friends sat discussing this for an hour afterwards and you truly can’t come to an explanation. So many different chain of events going on between different multiverses. Just truly a very clever film! These are the headaches I enjoy.

I loved the concept, and I love when a rule is broken, allowing two things to exist at once that shouldn’t, almost like a paradox. I think that’s when the film gets fun and thought-provoking. I had a lot of fun though, and it’s Bong Joon Ho so it has the symbolism and good message behind it, but I think I was expecting Parasite levels of depth, which I wish I hadn’t been. We in fact are all expendables, though! 😭😭

Bong Joon-Ho saw that Challengers got zero nominations and paid homage. I peeped your game, brother!

  • Nosferatu

    Nosferatu

    ★★★★½

Robert Eggers, the artistry that you put into Nosferatu will not go unnoticed. Thank you for designing the vampire as it’s described in old folk lore and staying unique to your craft. You’re 2/2 for me!

As much as I love the frightening horror chills, I’m also a fan of making horror look beautiful and artistic, which is why I can appreciate this. The perspective of this movie feels so unique because the vampire relies heavily on hypnosis here, which…
