This is the best live-action comic book movie ever made. 97% of the effects stand the test of time and look amazing, and 97% of the performances are both dramatically compelling and fit the comic book aesthetic. The score is phenomenal, the direction is maybe Raimi’s best, and the action sequences absolutely RIP. Most importantly though, it exceeds super-hero film expectations and has a script that actually means something. The interpersonal drama and character arc of Peter Parker are fresh…
