Deadpool annoys me in such a special way. I hate how this movie will say “haha yeah this trope is annoying huh 😂🤣” and then just do the thing they’re criticizing anyways.
They also have no issue saying the same joke like three times. It feels like the writers noticed that audiences like a good callback to a successful joke but the way this movie does it feels insulting to my intelligence. Actually there’s a bunch of jokes like that…
If you haven’t already seen this, now is a perfect time. One of those movies where the premise is so good the rest of the movie practically writes itself; the stakes are so down to earth that there’s no way the ending isn’t satisfying at the very least. Also Joaquin Phoenix does his thing or whatever and I loved Scarlet Johansson. This movie is so relevant now as the new Apple ai thing is on the horizon. What if I dated siri
Recently rewatched this and this movie is just tragically so close. What a cool and interesting idea! but then they can’t finish their food and they fumble the 3rd act. The ending of this movie feels like it was written and directed for a completely different movie by completely different people. WHY is there an action sequence. Ughhhh my problem is that I really like the idea here!! Florence Pugh is epic and harry styles gives a nothing performance but it’s not bad.
