  The Sound of Music 1965

  The music, characters, and scenery are all amazing. Andrews is magnificent and brings a impressive amount of energy to the movie.

  I do with it was about 45mins shorter and cut out the whole Nazi subplot. It really just added unnecessary length and darkness to an otherwise beautiful movie.

  Princess Mononoke 1997

  Watched in IMAX. Absolutely stunning score and animation. Really appreciated the environmentalist themes.

  Oddly, the listing said it was English subs but it turned out to be dubs. Billy Bob Thornton was a weird choice and definitely the worst casting. But otherwise, great cast.

  As an aside, I love that we are getting the opportunities to see older movies in IMAX and local theatres.
