What I wouldn’t give for a historically accurate Tudor film just once.
I really wanted to like this. The costumes were absolutely gorgeous, and Jude Law gave the Henry performance of a lifetime, but they were both wasted on this.
I was ready to give this film 3 stars until Maggie Gyllenhaal walked out wearing a Spirit Halloween corset as a top to an 1880s ball, and took a 1/2 a star with her.
