  The Irishman 2019

  This is the only movie in my lifetime I remember my mom actively wanting to watch when it released, and I feel like that’s a big deal. It’s sad and scary and I really don’t mind how long it is, good for a Sunday watch. I don’t want to be old or alone anytime soon either, that last half hour makes me upset. 

  I quite appreciate that this gangster movie from Scorsese shows the “fall” portion of the story in so much more detail than his others. Also that the consequences of Frank’s actions are more personal, or at least they feel that way to me.
