A simple but sensitive story about positive masculinity, brotherhood and the power of art to transform. And I can see why Colman Domingo is in the running for Best Actor, he's excellent here but almost just as good are the real-life actors from the prison theater group who also form the bulk of the cast.

The simplicity of the film really works in its favor. Overall, a really tender, feelgood film that I would recommend watching if you're looking for something mellow.

Payal Kapadia's brilliant humanist slice-of-life drama ALL WE IMAGINE AS LIGHT is undoubtedly one of the best films of the year, both a heartfelt portrayal of everyday working class struggles and a subtle critique of the illusion that surviving in the bustling metropolis Mumbai is often portrayed as. Luca Guadagnino is back with a vengeance after the slightly disappointing Bones And All with a powerhouse young cast in what may be one of this year's best films. On the surface, Challengers is a story of three tennis players whose lives are intertwined with each other and their love/obsession for the game, but there's a lot more going on here. It may come across as a sports movie but is actually a character study with the sensibilities of an…

Don't try to understand it - 'feel it', yes I stole a line from Tenet because it's absolutely true in case of this film. Yes there's a lot that won't make sense, the film often moves to something even stranger before you get a grasp on whatever it was doing a minute ago. It's probably the darkest and most surreal of his works but there's a clear point to it. It's Miyazaki reflecting on his work, the worlds he has…
