  nicole kidman is doing something genuinely monumental here!! raw and exposed and self referential and self aware. dickinson and banderas totally keeping pace and bringing lots of juicy texture and nuance to both of their roles 

  i love how odd and behavioral both the dialogue and the performances are. none of these characters are really ever able to speak honestly and directly, and they instead spout weird little unexpected non sequiturs
