The Shining 1980
Everyone stresses to me how scary it is… And I don’t see that. It was a slow and disturbing unraveling of the mind, well-paced and very nicely scored. I enjoyed it and will emphasize that, to me, it was disturbing. (I think people overuse “scary” as a catch-all for horrors and thrillers.)
