Unthinkable to see Antonio Banderas cast as the second hottest man in a movie

    I don’t get it?

I feel like I’m watching a play about unlikely friends, brought together through a strange event. But the event, the lessons, the relationships, none of it matters? None of it feels like it has any purpose? What’s the commentary?

Love a black cat. Hate the rest. Hope Reddit can give me some retroactive appreciation. Also the animation was just so medium.

Gorgeous. Colourful, campy, tasteful even in the moments of gore, sexy, and perfectly on the nose in its fiendish druggy spiraling storytelling. And hilarious to see a movie where Margaret Qualley’s ass is featured on screen for more than Hannibal’s entire screen time in Silence of the Lambs (this is a true fact).

At a certain point, it got carried away for me, and dropped from an easy 4.5 or 5 down to the 4. There were false endings, opportunities…

This is such a familiar storyline, such a tried and true format and feeling. And I would tend to feel pretty apathetic to that, except that the characters are just so darling. And maybe moreso because the performances, especially by Rachel McAdams, are TOPS. Her acting is beautiful, effortless, complex, and kind. She is a force.
