Whiplash 2014
movie made me extremely anxious and on edge the whole time. just generally an unpleasant movie to watch just because of how unlikable the characters were. that was probably the point but i do not enjoy watching movies if the point is to make you upset, i can appreciate that this was a good movie but i did not enjoy it.

movie was not very well done. the subtext was explained by random characters and that didn’t make much sense. the script and dialogue were quite uninspired and it overall wasn’t a very enjoyable movie. also all of the characters were uninteresting and poorly written.

Killer of Sheep explores the life of a poor man in a city. The main character works in a slaughterhouse and makes very little money. The movie contains lots of social commentary while just showing very simple events in this persons life. For example, there are two characters that make more money than the main character does and they are criminals while he works very hard and works very long hours. The movie is trying to get a point across but it doesn't do it explicitly, it does it by showing a realistic life that some people can relate to and understand.

Brigsby Bear 2017
brigsby bear is a very nice and funny movie that doesn’t fall into the usual tropes that many movies have. it is very underrated and a very entertaining movie. This movie had a ton of big actors on it and it was super confusing to me that it didn’t do better.
