The Bling Ring 2013
I'm low-key bitter about this film. It's in dialogue with issues around runaway capitalism, vapid youth and celebrity idolatry, but it reads as an insiders perspective and has too much cooperation from the celebrity class to offer an authentic critique.
Maybe it had relevancy once but ten years on it came off like a lecture on wealth inequality delivered by a multi millionaire. A cautionary tale for nepo babies by nepo babies.

Captivating from the first moments and it just keeps shifting and dazzling, reeling you in over and again. Predominantly practical effects and surprisingly limited use of CGI lets it hold up beautifully.
