  The first and only proper review I'll probably ever do...

  I genuinely believe this to be one of the most interesting movies in the modern era of Sci-fi cinema. Villeneuve executes almost perfectly with this movie, shifting us seemlessly between past, present and future. For both veiwers and directors alike, non-linear filmmaking can be something of an acquired taste, yet Arrival looks have it down to a fine art.

  Dune 2021

  Looking back, this was easily one of my favourite experiences in a cinema, ever.

  As far as I'm aware, this is a reasonably faithful adaptation so far. What Dune lacks in emotion and world-building (bare in mind the film starts slightly before the first pages of the book), it makes up for with modest visuals, oozing with style accompanied by a stellar soundtrack/sound design.

  A solid re-entry into an old saga - keenly awaiting the second installment from Villeneuve...
