Adolescence 2025
Netflix’s British miniseries Adolescence is an intense and thought-provoking series, to say the least. It portrays the multifaceted influences shaping adolescent behavior, particularly the insidious impact of online radicalisation and toxic subcultures.
The story follows 13-year-old Jamie Miller, who is accused of murdering his classmate, Katie. Owen Cooper delivers a gripping performance as Jamie Miller, capturing the turbulent journey from childhood to adulthood with remarkable depth. He masterfully balances teenage vulnerability and aggression, making Jamie feel both real and deeply…

Kung Fu Panda 4 2024
When animated movies like "Inside Out 2" and "Nimona" are being made, the new instalment of the popular "Kung Fu Panda" franchise felt like absolute nonsense.
A shallow plot, one-dimensional characters, poor dialogue, average punch lines, and even the action scenes appear lazy. What a mess!
One star for the director who took the trouble of making it, which was unnecessary.

Longlegs 2024
An eerie film that shifts from a morbid chill to a freaky little satanic jaunt with a coherent, fast-paced storyline. The climax might be unexpected (if you're a newbie to the genre) but doesn't meet the expectations given the intense build-up.
To me, the film felt like a patchwork of The Silence of the Lambs, Hereditary and Se7en--all mixed together but the final outcome isn't as great as one would expect.

The Boy and the Heron 2023
It’s Miyazaki at his most self-indulgent. Deeply strange, visually striking and full of metaphors with an incoherent storyline. A mostly-personal tale based on dream logic.
Since I'm not the target audience for this film, can't put a rating here.
