  This really felt like Fincher's least unique work, not because of him, but because of the screenplay. It's a story I've seen before, and its sad because I'm sure more recent films copied it, because it was made more than 20 years ago. But nonetheless, I always had the feeling that i knew what was going to happen even if I didn't. Kind of sad that It wasn't very good.

  This film is so simple in every aspect that I don’t know if it is a detriment or smth to commend. The drama is skipped, the camera work is simple, and the dialogue is simple. But that simplicity does something. It’s just life. So because it tries to do something so different and inspired compared to every other film out there I think that’s something to commend.

  This film didn't feel like the crime thriller that was Seven, and rightly so. It's doesn't care about "who the killer is", in fact, it doesn't know. It just wants- forces, you to follow Graysmith down this this slow, arduous, and ultimately unsatisfying journey for the truth.
