    With a budget of $320 million (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), you’d think the Russo brothers could spark up a compelling story at the very least. Instead, The Electric State is endless flashy visuals, driven by a formulaic plot device that slowly fizzles out like an old lightbulb, and an overarching narrative which short-circuits at each passing scene.

    In the wake of this calamity, yet another innovative independent project will be prematurely slashed at Netflix.

    When will this nightmare end?
