Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 2022
While the movie was happening I asked myself’”is this the best marvel movie of all time?” The emotional gut punch of the first 10 minutes set the stage for an incredible world building journey that didn’t feel tired or like a typical copy paste marvel origin story. Tenoch Huerta as Namor may be my new favorite Marvel character, period. The vibranium ship wasn’t able to land with the same velocity as the 1st two hours of the movie, probably because it was originally written for Chadwick’s BP, but this firmly ranks as a top 10 superhero flick. RIP Chadwick

Only reason this wasn’t a 5/5 viewing experience for me was I had to look over and see the disgust on Gruber’s face throughout the film. Puzzling stuff. The two small set pieces on the farmland and in the burning town were some of the most gripping filmmaking I’ve ever seen.

It’s 2022 and we’re still eating up military industrial complex propaganda, huh? Just like the original top gun this isn’t a good movie but planes do go woosh and zoom. Star turns from Miles and Glen save this from disaster. Remember, nostalgia porn doesn’t make something good.
