Unserious version: queer situationship goes hard, you start dying (figuratively and literally). Key takeaway: be straight, be sane!
Serious version: while some aspects of the movie, like the portrayal of yearning, could have been executed better, it still conveys the essence of its message. That desperate need for connection when you're on a *different* path in life, and the loneliness that comes with it… being queer, especially in the old times, must have been suffocatingly lonely.
Craig played his role so well and don't even get me started on Starkey—that face alone justifies the word star in his name. Beautiful, beautiful man.
