Mixed feelings about this one.
I was really impressed by the visuals of the film.
In general I just don’t like the direction the industry is going towards.
Sometimes there’s just no point in making a prequel and trying to over explain every single detail.

Gladiator II 2024
The film is visually impressive so I’m glad I saw it in the cinema.
I am afraid though it won’t age well.
The storyline and dialogue is weak, predictable and all over the place.
We never fully get to comprehend the depth of Paul Mescal’s character Lucius which is a shame.
Denzel proves once again why he’s one of the best in the business.
His portrayal of Macrinus is magnificent.
