A really nice coming of age kinda story. I’m around the same age as Wang Wang, and the MySpace, AIM, and YouTube bits really took me back. His sweet mother, his friends telling him not to talk to his mom like that, Wang Wang’s misplaced rage and his sisters. Pretending instead of being, repressing your roots, “cute for an Asian” was wild. Growing up is so fucking awkward and full of obstacles
