I wanted to like this, but the ‘misunderstood female underdog’ trope is overused. Instead of embracing a vital role as a healer, rich with ancestral knowledge, the protagonist insists on being a hunter—because she’s built different.
While better than some Predator films, it just drags on. Predator action scenes are scarce and short, overshadowed by a protagonist more focused on proving herself than mourning her lost brother and tribe members. It’s all about earning the title of War Chief—nothing more.
