This movie perfectly illustrates why the Joker is a nihilist, and what his motivations are, in The Dark Knight Rises (and other Batman stories). It’s simple, calm, but insanely emotional and thrilling. You can see the transition from him self-loathing, and wanting to end his life, to him blaming the society, and gaining the attention he has seeked all his life through notority and murder. One of my favorite movies of all time!
