Anora 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The vegas scene made me feel so alive. The impulsiveness of it all. It felt much like “love”. Yes, most of it was a drug and alcohol induced frenzy but much like “love” it felt euphoric. Why did it all have to crumble? I guess that’s what made Anora feel more real. The second half of Anora was so depressing omg, i’m going to need a day to recover now.😀

Saltburn 2023
I just watched this film for the second time and noticed things that I completely forgot about. THE GRAVE SCENE IS WILD. The bath tub scene is def top 3 weirdest moments in Saltburn but yo- how did I forget about that…(side note, THE AESTHETIC AND CINEMATOGRAPHY ARE TO DIE FOR)!

Whiplash 2014
Some things about Damien Chazelle is…he loves his whip pan shots, a witty script, and jazz. I have never heard someone diss Whiplash before so I think the film community is all in agreement that this shit is an absolute banger. Side note, one of my favorite Fletcher lines is “oh my dear god. Are you one of those single tear people? Do I look like a double fucking rainbow to you?”.

Luca 2021
Luca is so friggin cute. How can anyone dislike Luca? I just rewatched Luca for like the 4th time and every time I have seen it, I notice the detail put into the animations. Every scene is absolutely beautiful and adds to the storytelling in a visual way. The main characters are kids so the imagination scenes had to be my favorite. The imagination scenes are so creative and highlight how these kids picture their future (dramatized but super friggin cute). Luca and Alberto really made me want to purchase a Vespa lol. Side note, I will never not sob during the last scene of Luca.
