Talk to Her 2002
I’m conflicted about how to feel about this film. It has an unsettling undertone, as it seems to draw the viewer toward sympathizing with the protagonist, even as their actions evoke discomfort. It’s a strange movie, yet undeniably moving and sublime..I found myself having goosebumps during several scenes. Music is exceptional and I particularly appreciated the themes of synchronicity and symbolism throughout, especially the recurring imagery like the snake in the house of Lydia, Pina Bausch ballets and Marco tears which added layers of deep meaning to the story.
