  The harrowing work of the LAPD blended seamlessly with humor, friendship and love. Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena’s chemistry in this movie is truly unmatched.

  This remake felt overall bland. I honestly didn’t mind that they took a more realistic approach to this story and Imperial army. Since it’s more realistic the lack of singing and a talking dragon makes sense, but then they go and add in a witch that served nearly no purpose to the plot. They focused heavily on fighting and actions scenes, but almost all of the actions scenes looked really rough. Liu Yifei is beautiful and a very appropriate cast for the role of Mulan, but besides that there’s not much I enjoyed about this movie.

  The humor wasn’t funny. The scares weren’t scary. This is one of the shortest a24 movies I’ve watched and somehow still the most boring. Wtf was this storyline. Everyone saying this feels like a Nickelodeon original movie, that is so accurate.

  I don’t even know what to say about this other than I did not like it. Still no idea what the goal of this movie was. The CGI consistently changed from fine to terrible. They took death and a concept that I think is very intriguing, and turned it into the worst movie they could.
