An absolute travesty of a Crow story. The movie is filled with a plethora of meaningless, dumb downed, exposition heavy dialogue conveyed through actors trying their best not to laugh at how cringe the films story is. Love Lies Bleeding 2024
Had high hopes for this movie to be a good representation of queer love set in the sprawls of the Midwest. But boy did this movie fall short of my exceptions and beyond. The movie is beautiful visually like most have come to expect from A24 produced movies. However its story lacks substance and chemistry. The main characters black sheep relationship feels flat and while they strived for making the film sexual it came off goofy instead. From the overused gushy sound effects to the hilarious inserts of muscles twitching; the film found itself in an identity crisis not knowing what tone it wanted for itself.
