Like House of the Devil, it’s slow burn horror, big on creaky-old-floorboards-but-otherwise-quiet atmosphere. Unlike House of the Devil, nothing interesting happens. There’s little payoff to all the atmosphere—and the uncharismatic leads make it that much harder to stay awake.
