I’ve seen Top Gun Maverick three times and counting - and for me personally, this movie is amazing on every level and gets better with each viewing. Fun and nostalgic without being heavy handed, familiar without being feeling like fan service. Tom Cruise serving as the elder statesman of an outgoing world of aviator-wearing, shirtless hot shot jocks, he’s not shoehorned in as a 24 year old like he was for the original.
