It was so odd to me to see a group of individuals enjoy a delicious meal and not say a single word about it (with the exception of the general). Whenever I go out to eat, there is bound to be discussion around the different flavors of the food prepared or even the presentation.

I always enjoy the politeness of religious individuals juxtaposed with judgement which this movie captures so well. The two sisters were so kind and generous to provide Babette with a warm and loving home, but were rude when it came to her expanding their comfort zone.Translated from by -
