  The bleakness of crumbling american mythos à la Midnight Cowboy contrasted with the (dictionary definition of) gentle Pamela Anderson and Dave Bautista.

  Maybe undercooked but I think it works in the favour of a film about the need to be proactive and the desire not to in the face of the inevitable 'last show'.

  Very sad ending made even sadder by how much Billie Lourd resembled her mother at the end.

  About 30 minutes into this so far and struggling!!

  It's nice to see that the Russos still like to turn up the cinematic dial with all that fog and diffused light before cutting to the brightest, cleanest, and flattest digital cinematography you have ever seen.

  Never change Russos... Never chan- wait a minute.

  Update: got through it. Turn your TVs off 5 seconds before the film finishes - somewhat funnier.

  Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

  The 16mm photography of the Spomeniks alone was utterly gorgoeus. Last and First Men is truly one of the greatest sci-fi works I've ever seen.

  Jóhann was a genius and I am honoured to have had the privilege to have met him. Seeing this played live was a touching send-off and one I will never forget. If only he could have composed for a hundred more years...
