  I paid $20 to rent this movie on a whim. I thoroughly enjoyed the first Meg and had high hopes for its sequel—and I’m happy to say that was money well spent. This film is stuffed with zippy one-liners that feel fresh amidst the field of MCU smart-assery that has come to occupy the action/adventure/sci-fi genre(s) and the action sequences feel appropriately over the top. The Meg films seem to be going the route of a high budget Sharknado as this sequel…

  Wow—I loved the first Avatar and this one blows the first movie out of the water! The plot is a masterclass in non-stop entertainment mixed with satisfying character development and top-notch cgi.
