Poignant

A very moving film, a good script without too much action and stunts, which allows us to convey more emotions and understand the harshness of the protagonists situation.

A dark masterpiece. Scorsese scores again !

This duo (Dicaprio Gladstone) is surprisingly good. Both did an amazing performance. For once, I was less impressed by De Niro's performance but he still remains an essential part of the movie: his sinister energy gives you the chills. The movie might seem slow, with many silent scenes, maybe too many, but it is the ingredient for a perfect emotionally devastating and violent movie. All these performances highlight the urgency of the social message that is passed.

Exciting movie !

Acting is impeccable. The movie reminds you of a regular theater play due to the fact that most scenes happen in the tailor shop and this is where you can see the art of theater and cinema combined : making good use of only one space for more than one hour. The actors manage to occupy the whole area and their gestures as well as their mouvements (the scenario in general) make you feel like you're in the room with them.
