Meh…The story itself is fine, though it often feels like the protagonist is "failing upwards." The only real narrative shift happens about three-quarters of the way in, when he struggles to create music to appease the investors. Even then, the tension resolves almost instantly, and he’s back on track with Daft Punk.
The film seems more focused on showcasing the many artists Pharrell has collaborated with rather than exploring his creative process or showing how his music comes to life.…
