I am feeling very content after watching this film
A weird, quirky film, exploring if life really is better without feeling emotion.
A nice bit of subtle romance as well, Along with very nice photography and set design
Quite a cute and quirky film about grief and trying to cope with life when you are lost
What I love is how realistic this film is and I think that is what makes the emotional parts hit.
I especially love the detail of how, when you live with your parents, you never truly get time to yourself or a moment of peace to process your emotions and how this can sort of revert you back to an almost teenage version of yourself.
The kid can be hard to understand however.
Human, bored
Story, generic
Evolution of speech, good
(Maurice is a G and Andy Serkis is brilliant)
Feels like it's trying to run off the 80's horror vibe (hence the glasses choices), but the dialogue kind of misses a beat at times....unlike that monkey (yes the dialogue is exactly like that)
Plus Theo James is too handsome to play that character
