  A Rainy Day In New York hits all of Woody Allen’s trademarks and a few good one-liners. Chalamet's (or rather his emulation of Woody Allen), Gomez' and Fanning's acting were fair and intentful.

  Holy hell are they stupid.

  And also, portaledge is a thing apparently. It's a deployable tent suspended off a vertical cliff until an avalanche carries it away; then it's called a bodybag.

  If I were Thessaly Thacker I would have rated this film Five George Clooneys donning a toga out of Eight but "would that it were so simple."

  The Coen Brothers use 1950s post-war Hollywood as their cinematic playground for cramming a slew of big names in. No Oscars won by this film but I'm 109% certain that this film found a spot in Guinness World Records for most number of stars in one movie. I find it a bit ironic…
