i love how they criticize so many things in this film that unfortunately are still happening in the current society we live in: homophobia, patriarchy, and misogyny. although it was an open ending, i’m hopeful that emma can choose to live her life the way she wishes and want to be. plus i’m so happy seeing butch lesbian x bisexual relationship representation in this film <3 the fact that they also cast an actual queer actor for this film (zar donato as billie) means a lot!
