    Esthappan

    ★★★★

All Aravindan movies feature characters who are tired with materialistic life. While his previous characters chose to ran away 'Esthappan' tried to fight them and set an example. People in this story are hardworking, but they lost their ethics in going hard for money and pleasure. So Esthappan becomes a prophet like figure to change them. Unique concept with signature Aravindan elements like wide angle shots and magical realism make this an impactful watch.

Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason

    ★★½

A sequel just for the sake of it.
Tries to explore the confusion after falling in for a relationship and how self esteem sometimes pull us down. But it's just partly succesful. There aren't enough incidents in the plot to engage audience. Still an okay watch for the central character being relatable.

The series does not fully blame them, they had to go through unfiltered internet shit much before they were prepared for it.…

NEEK is an 'ammavan' gaze on Gen Z love relationships written and directed by 'ammavan' Dhanush, starring 'marumakan' Pavish. It's a normal ammavan talk that new generation has a silly approach on love. Yes, it's silly when seen from outside. But it's real for the people going through it. Gireesh AD movies offered more clarity on the confusion of such characters but Dhanush fails to give any kind of depth or connect for his characters. The major conflict in NEEK…
