My first Lynch movie *ducks* and I think I felt nearly every possible adjective while watching. Intrigued, bored, humored, captivated, confused, curious, transfixed, and then more confused. This really did live up to his brand of being an idiosyncratic auteur.

Naomi Watts and Justin Theroux - who I had no clue was in this - have such a presence that it’s easy to see how they go on to have great careers. It’s a damn shame though that The Cowboy…

Ah the heartbreak of a 3.5-star first half, 1-star second half. Pattinson in full gonzo mode is a treat to watch, but some of the other out there performances are painful. Initially the plot zips along and deftly prods at the ethical questions around cloning, but then somewhere midway it completely loses the sauce. Every scene is over explained to death and the few good moments are too bloated to land with any emotional weight. Can we kill this version and print another copy?

Can’t remember the last time we got a comedy this NUTS. It’s a near-classic cringe fest that left everyone quoting a different favorite line while leaving the theater. It can’t be understated enough that it’s been years since we had that.

Tim Robinson gets the spotlight moment he deserves, even if it does feel like a feature length I Think You Should Leave (a title which, coincidentally, would also work perfectly for the film.)

As someone who hates getting dirt, stains, and water on their clothes, Friendship is a total nightmare, and I can’t wait to watch it again.
