This is not a perfect film. It begins as a serviceable rom-com, maybe even one that's above average, but about halfway through it becomes something else entirely.
For me, this movie has always been about the father- son relationship. About loss. About having to let go, even though that's the last thing you want to do. About having the power to reach back into the past, but finding the strength not to.
