  I get the desire to present Shelly more as a character and I like it a lot.
  But all this living through their love story doesn’t really work in this movie, unless you make Shelly be the crow since it makes more sense in this narrative.

  And also idea of Eric going from human to vengeful spirit is kinda goes against the theme of the story.

  Whether as original had crow becoming more human overtime by shading its pain, this one does everything backwards.

  Also where is a gothic fairytale spirit?

  Disappointing.

  Poor Things 2023

  The best fairytale in a while.
  It is horrific, deeply flawed, misguided and wrapped in a glittering paper.
  It feels like a new Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s movie more so than Yorgos’s which is quite interesting and utterly charming.
  Like all fairytales I’m sure it will be stripped apart to make a good story for children 😅
