    This film is scattershot and flabby, the visual effects often poorly match and interact with the real footage, and lots of the dialogue is stilted and not very believable. This last one seems to be true for all of Bong's English language films, which isn't that suprising.

    I'm really surprised at the amount of hate this is getting.

    Great performances from the main three (and pretty much everyone else), I laughed out loud multiple times which I very rarely do in the cinema, the production design is spot on, I was genuinely intrigued by the plot, and the central message was simple but effective.

    Perhaps it's because of the director. I skimmed some of the articles and yes, he does sound like a piece of shit. However…
