    Slick to a fault. Everyone is smooth as virtually their only character trait. Matt Damon was supposedly set up to be a secondary protagonist but I dare you to tell me one thing about him. So smooth that there’s rarely any feeling of danger or stakes outside of the final reveal.

    That said, I can only dislike a movie where George Clooney and Brad Pitt quip throughout a heist so much. It’s still pretty fun.

    Back again watching black and white indie short films on YouTube and wow this was amazing. It’s a story that I can’t imagine I’ll ever get tired of: what do people do when they know the inevitable is coming? The 15 minute runtime absolutely flew by and that last shot was fantastic. Really glad I randomly saw an Instagram comment plugging this lol.

    It’s a film about a planet ruled by apes and my biggest concern was if a horse could really support the weight of a gorilla.

    Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes presents a very interesting new world/post apocalypse with some really neat ideas about legends and coexistence, but they’re set against a very by-the-numbers plot, and never fleshed out to their fullest potential.
